MY FIRST INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

The debate is in the air and we must act. Your clan will be divided in a group of proletarians and a group of labourers of a factory. You will create a podcast, making a discussion of at least 5 minutes where the owners of the upper class will defend their capitalist system in the factories and the others will expose the conditions of the workers and defend more social alternatives. You must show what you have learned on this topic. The most elaborate debate will win the corresponding prize. You can record it simply using the recorder of your mobile. Internal divisions in the clan... who will win?

    Our activity consists on watching two videos taken from a very famous film called Germinal (1993) in which you will see two very different life-styles : Burgueois and proletarian ones.  Your clan must take 4 differences and or similarities between the videos, using what we have learnt in class. Finally, you will answer if you consider both life situations fair or unfair. You can´t repeat the arguments!     As you know, UK is the birth of the First Industrial Revolution, come hand in hand with different invents that revolutionize the economic and political field, specially the transformation of the Agrarian World.  Thus activity consists on know, order and contextualize the most important invents between 1730-1850. Using what we have learnt in class and the video about machines that you can find on Symabloo , you need to do a chronological line in which they must appear the invents, years and inventors. You must use Genially or Piktochart.  

  Business time my friend! If you want to control your own factory, you need to be trendy with new machines! Consequently, the major of London has decided to gift the most modern steam machine of UK. The problem: You need to convince him. Write a letter to the Mr Wilson,  presenting your factory and your product, exposing why do you consider import this machine and why you should win it.  Use Piktochart (link in Symbaloo).                 We are in England in the mid-18th century, considered at the time as the First World Power on a political, economic and social level . It   is   the place where what we will know as the Industrial Revolution   will take   place,   to be   considered one of the most important milestones of humanity since the invention of the wheel,   of  writing and printing. For this process to take place, there   will be   different milestones ,   such   the famous agricultural revolution   and   different production methods ,   from the domestic to the factory system.     There will be five clans ( Birgbmingham , Bristol, Edimburgh , Liverpool and Newcastle)  that will develop and evolve in the industrial field caused by its excellent geostrategic position for the construction of future textile and steel industries.
